A Boot Camp is a practical concept. It involves gathering a group of decision-makers and experts to address a particular issue through focused and intensive discussion that takes into account both technical and non-technical factors. After thoroughly examining the issue, the group develops possible solutions and a work program to help implement them. The experience is documented in a Solutions Paper—a brief note describing how a specific challenge or problem is addressed in a collaborative and pragmatic fashion. The Boot Camps, together with the Solutions Lab and discussions in Maarefah (“knowledge” in Arabic), feed into the design of the Exchange and CV MENA’s workprogram.
