On November 25 and 26, 2015, I participated in the 20th International Congress of the Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants (LACPA). This year’s congress was titled “Quality Financial Reporting Serving the Economy”. I represented the World Bank in a panel discussion of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
The World Bank’s (WB) Governance Practice (PFM/PIM) have been engaging with Libya’s public administration over the past several years. Most recently, the WB, in conjunction with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), engaged in Libyan national budget discussions with 28 members of Libya’s technical budget administration during theDecember 8-11, 2015 period.
